What We Offer
Kakariki Camps offer a unique and fully inclusive school camp experience. You’ll have delicious food, a full range of activities (ie archery, stream study, mindfulness, team building), wonderful learning opportunities and friendly staff to ensure a successful and fun school camp. We work collaboratively with teachers to ensure the best outcomes day to day.
A ‘tenting’ option is also available.
Students will be involved in a legacy project in the beech forest where they’ll learn to identify native species and help remove exotic plants. They’ll be taught about threats to this environment, the principles of permaculture and be encouraged to think for themselves about what we can all do to care for our part of the world.
Organisational Team Building
Businesses and organisations seeking the down to earth Kiwi experience of ‘Camp’ – bunkrooms, midnight feasts, fun in the great outdoors and no wifi – will love the Kakariki Camps experience.
We will facilitate team and personal development – including guided visualisation and mindfulness – exploration of group dynamics, understanding roles in the team, and effective communication. All activities are optional. We’ll design your camp to suit you.
Day Camp – a full morning of activities, yummy lunch, an afternoon of pulling it all together.
(Includes morning and afternoon tea.)
Overnight Camp – a full morning of activities, lunch, an afternoon of reflection, delicious dinner, fun stuff in the evening; Day 2 – group work actioning what you’ve learned the day before; lunch, then bags packed and off you go. (Includes morning and afternoon teas.)
We’ll work with you to create the length and shape of your camp experience.
